The extension lets customers view product basic information in a popup on category and homepage on click. Configure info you want to be present in the popup window as well as overlay appearance. Change image zoom from the standard to one like Cloud-zoom or Fancybox.

I bought this ext together with Color Swatches (http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/colors-sizes-and-materials-swatch-v-2-0.html) for magento 1.9.0.1
No doubt there are a lot of other Quick View or Swatches extensions elsewhere that are also good or may be even better. But the main point is that the both extensions are offered by the same vendor. Possibly this is why they both operate together with no conflicts right out of the box. (There is no way to get such two extensions from different vendors and make them to work together without customization.) Yes, there where some insignificant flaws, that were fixed immediately by vendor's staff. Special thanks to Valerie who was answering all my messages within minutes.
